metal shards, and reclaimed materials.
Each fragment used to form Ray’s profile complete with his signature pipe is a symbolic nod to his ability to piece together profound human experiences from the everyday. From obsolete circuit boards to fractured rulers, the artwork layers nostalgia with innovation, much like Ray’s own storytelling.
Encased in a museum-quality frame and lit to elevate its shadow-play, the portrait becomes not just a visual tribute, but a reflective surface for India’s evolving creative consciousness. The portrait received huge appreciation at TEDX 24 – event in Hyderabad
