Which I have been preserving these from two decades, segregating the shells, tapes and other tiny parts. Hoping to create something else in the future with the left over parts. It took several weeks to get the denim shade right, Crtl + Z is totally ruled out in this case. The dimensions are 4x5ft. The colours used to paint this portraits are eco-friendly colour dyes and acrylic. Size is 3x4feet.
2015 – The prologue . I created an older looking (aged version) of John Lennon 9 years ago, which had a dense beard. This was made using video and audio tapes along with random torn novel by different authors. I have used some of the cassette shells for this recent version as well. Coincidently, the one I made recently is much younger version of John Lennon. What are the odds ? that these cassettes from different cities would get tiled together to form this masterpiece.
