Art that inspires

Albert Einstein on a mango seed

Back in the early 2000s, on a rainy afternoon, I was holding a mango seed. It looked unusual its shape reminded me of an old man’s head with wild hair. A few days later, I carved it into the face of Albert Einstein. That was my very first miniature artwork. From that moment, I started seeing junk and discarded things not as waste, but as the start of something new and 8mango was born!

Cut to – 2025, I got an opportunity to create an artefact for a campus of Anurag University in Hyderabad.
The theme was sustainability and up-cycling. This striking portrait (3x4ft approx) of Albert Einstein is hand-crafted entirely from discarded plastic and e-waste, transforming what was once forgotten into a powerful visual narrative of innovation and responsibility. Every fragment once a relic of consumption—has been thoughtfully reassembled to recreate the face of the world’s greatest thinker, symbolising how creativity and sustainability can co-exist. More than an artwork, this piece is a thought-provoking statement on circular design, inviting the viewer to reflect on waste, wisdom, and the infinite possibilities of reuse.
