I’m Dhiraj Sharma – environment artist and designer with over 20 years
of experience at the intersection of art, design and sustainability.
So far I have up-cycled more than 1500+ kgs of discarded materials,
e-waste into meaningful artefacts – blending art, sustainability and design.
Successfully executed more than 80 episodes for Art and Craft show for Sony Entertainment, Nickelodeon (2008 – 20012).
Privileged to be serving as an Experience Partner with TEDx Hyderabad since 2016.
What started as playful experimentation grew into a practice – creating objects, installations and experiences from obsolete materials, each one holding a second life and a sharper voice.
Honoured to present my work of art across corporates, universities and global forums like G20 Sumit 2023, HYSEA, IIT Bombay and other forums.
Through my workshops, exhibitions, art- installations I intend to render immersive experience of transformation turning everyday waste into expressions of design thinking.
The journey which originated from a mango seed and eventually fructified into becoming a TEDx speaker spanning around 20 years has never really been about art alone. It’s been about seeing beauty in the broken and potential where others see an end. Every piece of junk is a time traveler, sometimes a memory, sometimes an heirloom blended with nostalgia.
